Congress is the problem

Ok, after watching the final debate, I have come to a conclusion, FIRE CONGRESS. The presidential candidates will continue to bicker back and forth. They both have their policies and ideas to fix things like health care and the economy, but lets face it, both of their plans suck! Both candidates claim to support change and that is a load of bull! Anyone who believes that they are telling the truth is naive and fails to see the corruption in the system. If you truly want change, fire congress. Congress is full of self-centered individuals who have their own agendas that they are trying to fulfill. They don't care about the american people! All they want is to increase our taxes to fulfill their own purposes. If you don't believe it, look at the recent bailout. Tacking on an additional 170 billion in pork is just rediculous. CONGRESS SHOULD NOT BE A CAREER!!!!!!! Set some term limits and get these people in and out in 6 years. Cut their salaries, because they get paid way to much to get nothing accomplished, and cut their lifetime benefits. Seriously, what other job in america is as lenient as working in congress. It's not competitive with america, and it's not what our founding fathers intended. So, if you want to see change, vote against the incumbant! VOTE OUT EVERY INCUMBANT!!!!! ALL OF THEM! You want change, watch it happen quickly! People say what about experience, please they will get into the swing of things within the first year. Imagine, what if 1/3 of congress was elected every 2 years, with a 1 time 6 year term and thats it. People would actually get things done because they wouldn't be worried about reelection, PLUS you would actually have poeple come from the real world who understand issues that normal people deal with. Another thing, there is no reason why it should cost hundreds of millions of dollars to get elected. What a waste of money!!! Simply require each form of media to give a 30 second commercial or short article or whatever to each candidate. All you would need is travel expenses and expenses for signs and pins, but that doesn't cost hundreds of millions. On local terms, 100k for local positions is rediculous as well, set spending limits for campains rather than setting restrictions on contributions. Each candidate gets an equal amout to spend and they are done, who is smarter with money. That would show who is more prepared to be president and run a balanced budget. What a thought!!! Someone actually having to abide by a budget.... unheard of!

Supporting Terrorism?

Ok, I'm glad that someone finally had the guts enough to bring up the subject. This is my main beef with Obama. It doesn't matter what his policies are or what he stands for, but to me this is the main reason why I think he is wrong for our country. First of all Obama's preacher for 20 suddenly airs that his sermons promote racism and supremacy. You can't tell me that he just up and does this out of the blue. This is someone who has mentored Obama for 20 years, but he "never" heard any sermon of the sorts we saw on TV, ya right! There is no way you go to church for 20 years and never hear an off the wall sermon from someone like this. This leads me to another thing, is Obama really muslim? I reference the interview when he said that McCain doesn't understand his "Muslim faith" and when the interviewer called him out on hit he said, ya right, my Christian faith. If you are muslim, come out and say it, do you think we are afraid of the truth, perhaps that is why you live behind these lies. Seriously, how do you mix up christian and muslim faiths, I'm a christian and i know i would never say that my Muslim faith says.... So there has to be something going on there. A couple more points, Obama's number 1 campain contributer is meeting with the leader of Iran, a known maniac and terror supporter. Gee no wonder Obama gets more contributions than McCain. Plus Hammas has come out and supported Obama! HELLO AMERICA, what are you doing? RED FLAG!!!! If a terrorist organization supports a presidential candidate, shouldn't that mean we don't want him in office! Just for kicks, what if Obamam is muslim? A muslim with possible terrorist ties taking over a country that is predominantly Christian, but he would have the power of the senate and congress to back whatever he wanted done. All you can say in that situation is goodbye Christian Freedoms! Thats just a recipe for disaster. Another thing that gets on my nerves, Obama has done drugs. Not just Marijuana either, and no one is saying anything about this? Good grief, if a republican so much as gets a DUI they are the worst person on earth, but it's ok for a democrate because they were "finding themself" come on! Why is so much of Obama's past under wraps? What were his college papers about and what kinds of things did he say. All we hear is that it's off limits because he was "finding himself." I don't care if you were finding yourself, that is part of what made you who you are, and it should be available to every american because we might just put you as commander in chief over our nation. Nothing should be off limits. Anyway, just some food for thought.

GROW UP!!!

Ok, enough of this garbage. Both candidates need to grow up, good grief are you stuck in high school. All they do is, Obama this, or McCain this.... blah blah blah. No one is taking on responsibility! Plus, they are both lying about how they have voted in the past and what their plans are. To add on to that, they avoid every question that asks them to define their plans to fix the economy and the war. The presidential debate was a joke, and after watching part of the vp debate, i wonder why we want to put either of these people in office. There is a bunch of, I agree with what he/she said kind of stuff. Come on! you are supposed to be the leaders, step up and explain clearly how you will deal with these situations. Stop taking cheap shots at eachother and answer the question. Stop dodging the question and answer the question. I'm sorry Mr. Obama, but the answer on fixing the economy and the war has nothing to do with how we got there or why even got into Iraq in the first place. The fact is, we are there, the economy is in shambles, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT!!!! Explain your policies in your ads instead of simply cutting down your opponent in them. Anyone can dig up dirt, and the media is good at doing that anyway. The fact is, people want change, both candidates claim to represent change, but both continue to use the same old tactics. We want to see a candidate talk about issues and laying out plans to fix problems, not this yo mamma stuff, its rediculous and it shows what kind of a person you are inside. For once put the people first instead of your own agenda.

Told you So

See this is where out of control spending gets you. We saw the spending and did nothing about it, and this is where it gets you.
Man, I can't believe this week on Wall St. The DOW is down, and then down some more, just to rebound and go sailing... over what??? Maybe I'm wrong and correct me if I am, but lets see if I understand this correctly. The government wants to spend billions of our tax dollars, or as they say, "a significant amount of taxpayers money," to buy all the bad assets of these failing companies. Now these are the same assets that have caused these companies to fail because they are no longer worth anything. These are the assets that people aren't paying their mortgages on, or paying off their credit. And the federal government wants to put that burden on us, and thats a good thing???? Everyone on wall street is geeking out about this and stocks are soaring. Does no one see the stupidity in this? The government can't even take care of their own finances but they want to take care of these failing companies why... so they can turn them around and make some profit? Ya right!!! They are just prolonging the inevitable. Lets face it, we have done the exact same thing that we did in the 20's. Everything is based on credit, that is supposedly backed by money that no one has. This is not monopoly.... unless you are the U.S. government they throw around trillions like its nothing, and they don't even have the money themselves. Ok, so what are our candidates going to do about it... NOTHING!! Fix the corruption on wall st. Sure that's easy to say. Wait... Biden has the answer, lets increase taxes so that we can save our economy because its "the patriotic thing to do." What is wrong with you!!!! Bail them out in the bad times but no penalty or rewards for taxpayers during the good times. This has gone too far.

National Debt

Holy Cow, the American government has to be the worst, least profitable business on the face of this planet. Unfortunately, it probably also has the highest amount of income of any business or government in the planet as well. Recent projects say that the budget deficit for the US Government will be about 438 BILLION DOLLARS!!!!!! Holy cow!! But yet we have millions to throw away in aid to other countries when we can't even aid our selves. When does it stop? Someone has got to do something about this. So what do the candidates say???? NOTHING! In fact, both candidates with their tax cuts in place are projected to only increase the national debt by 3.5-5 trillion dollars. Currently the national debt is 9.7 trillion which is up 4 trillion from 8 years ago. Man, what happened to regulated spending. The sad part is.... THIS IS OUR MONEY!!!! Why do the American people allow this? Why don't our candidates care more about it? States can have balanced budgets but the federal government can't, why? Maybe we need to find a governor for the presidential position instead of another senator who doesn't know how to control a budget. They have much more experience balancing a budget than someone in the senate, just look at our national debt. It's time someone did something about this issue because this is just ridiculous.

Set the Record Straight

Ok, for starters It ticks me off that people constantly blame the president for everything. I don't care who the president is, they are always getting the brunt end of everything. People need to get their facts straight!!! People blame republicans, mainly because the current president is republican, for outrageous government spending. Lets set the record straight.... the House is in charge of spending!!!! NOT the president. Who controls the house? DEMOCRATS!!!!!! Ignorant morons! get it right!
Another thing, people come down on Palin because of lack of experience. The fact of the matter is that she has more executive experience then any senator in washington! What does a senator do that qualifies them for the white house anyway? Which lets us ask, why McCain? At least he has had executive experience running a business, and in the military, which is one of the main issues of this election. Obama doesn't even know what the military is. Sure he went to Iraq, but I know some families that have children in Iraq and they said that he wouldn't even talk to them, but waited until the cameramen were ready, came over and shook hands for a picture and then left. Now thats what I call patriotism!!! He was just there to get the picture. Who really cares for America? How about someone who fought and suffered for his country, how about someone sending their son to fight in Iraq? These people care about our American liberties and they understand that they don't come free. We don't like war, but when it comes time to choose between war and giving up our freedoms, war comes first. The liberties of this country COME FIRST! McCain/Palin will put US First, and not their own ambitions. They know what it takes, they have experience in making decisions when they matter most. We just have to choose to be educated and vote for someone who truely cares, and not just to "make history" as many of Obama supporters are doing. Lets make history by showing the world what American's can do, and how American ingenuity lives on and reigns supreme!

Go Palin!!!!

Wow, I don' t know if any of you saw Palin's speech but two words..... HOLY COW!!!!!! Man that was awesome!! You cannot watch her with an open mind and not be inspired or believe what she had to say. Look into her eyes while she speaks and you can see an individual who cares about America and American families. Palin is change we can believe in! She is just the outsider that Americans need to go into washington and shake things up while shaping things up. She cares about real Americans because she is one of us. She is not someone that has been brought up in politics or who is just another lawyer on capitol hill, but she has lived in small towns and worked for individuals in small towns. She works for the American People. She has executive experience, sure its short but it's more than anyone else running for president. She is the perfect companion for McCain. Sure she has some family issues, but who in America doesn't? If anything it makes her more human. Yes her daughter is pregnant but, just because she is pregnant doesn't make her worse than the rest of the world who is having premarital sex, she just got caught. Congratulations to her for keeping the baby and marrying the the father! How many people abort, or take the day after pill?? Go Palin for being the supportive mother and standing by her daughter rather than ostracizing her. Palin has the experience and guts to do what needs to be done on capitol hill. I'm a HUGE fan.

Election time

So with elections coming up we all are wondering who the candidates are and what they stand for. Unfortunately, it seems as though we are left to choose the lesser of two evils for this election. The more I talk to people, the more I hear that people don't care for either candidate. On the one hand you have an inexperienced African American who has a tendency to shift policies. Then there is the old experienced Caucasian who has some different views that a lot of the other conservatives out there. No independent has ever won a bid for the white house so why would they start now. Why out of over 300 million people should we be left to choose between 2 people. Personally I am not discriminatory towards either party but I look for someone who knows what they believe and who I think will actually get something done in office. Granted the president gets blamed for everything that goes wrong and because of congress and the senate, the president really doesn't have that much power, but we need someone who is going to get some good things done in office. However, I don't see that happening so I guess we will have to see what is happening in 4 years. I just think that politics shouldn't be a career. Any career politician who claims that they are "in touch" with reality and the rest of America has no idea what real America is like. Good grief, look at the salaries of those on capitol hill!! Anyone living on that can't be linked with the rest of America. Plus look at the hours, who else can just take 13 weeks off whether they have finished their current project or not to go and travel on the governments budget. What business does any senator or congressman have outside of the U.S. anyway. Shouldn't they be concentrating on their home state. International politics should be left to the president, cabinet members, and maybe leaders within the senate and congress but they should come back to brief the rest of them on the issues if need be. I tell you, if you limited the spending from those elected officials, reduced their salaries, and cut down on their benefits, they might start to feel what the rest of us Americans live with every day. Maybe they would start working for us rather than living in luxury from our hard earned money.

Who are you, and what do you believe?

Alright, it is time to bring back the values that this country was founded on. It has been my experience that most Americans believe differently than what is the common view on capitol hill. The best part is that these different thoughts are common among most of us. Therefore, if most people believe something else why aren't these thoughts being addressed seriously. My conclusion is that divided we fall, united we conquer. Everyone believes in something, but we have to bring these beliefs together and unite. What was the constitution? It was a statement by the people. Yes, mob rule by the people is madness, but the people we put on Capitol Hill should be working for our best interest not for their own agenda. Politics shouldn't be a career because then you loose touch with reality. Follow the example of the founding fathers. George Washington could have stayed in office forever but he chose not to. This is how politics should be today. Instead they make a living off our tax dollars and continue to do things that we don't agree with. So when does it end? Do we just wait until the next election and hope that we can vote out the incumbent? NO! We have to unite. We the People!! Write your congressman and senator. Get together in groups and talk about what you can do. We have to show the people on capitol hill that there are people who care. We care about how our prisons are run, gay marriages, abortion, drugs, media, gas prices, offshore drilling, punishments for people who break the law, illegal immigration, terrorism, war, and religion. All these things effect our daily lives. Christians account for about 80% of America but we are treated as the minority. That doesn't sound right in a majority rules democracy. For too long Christians have been told to turn the other cheek. When Christ said to turn the other cheek I don't think he meant that we should back down from our morals and standards. When someone attacks our beliefs we should stand tall and unite, not back down and run. It is time to retake some ground and regain the standards
that helped establish this great nation before the road that we are currently on destroys us. We cannot wait any longer and this is a problem that cannot be delegated. Its our responsibility to stand for what we believe in and fight for our families, rights, liberties, religion, and homes.
